Container Gardening

Whether you're growing on a balcony, patio, or another container, it's important to choose varieties that will grow and produce well in a small amount of space. Below is our selection of seedlings that will thrive in containers.

Be sure to chose the right size container for the job - generally the bigger the plant, the bigger the container. Choose at least 5 gallon for tomato plants, but preferably 10 gallon if you have enough space. Peppers and eggplants, on the other hand, will generally do fine in 3-5 gallon containers. Herbs are very flexible and will usually fill any size container you give them.

We recommend fabric pots because they drain well, are inexpensive, and will air prune your plants so they don't get root bound.
